Skytech RTX 4060 gaming PC sees price fall by 10% in latest Amazon deal
If you’re operating with a strict spending limit but want a new PC for gaming and work, we just might’ve spotted the perfect deal for you. The Skytech Shadow gaming PC had its price slashed by 10% on Amazon, knocking it down from $1,199.99 to $1,079.99. This prebuilt PC features the Ryzen 7 7700 and the RTX 4060.
Now, these components are by no means the latest, but they should be able to get the job done with ease, whether that is gaming or tackling resource-intensive applications. Also, to get a complete gaming PC for a little over $1,000, we think it is definitely worth considering.

What is in this gaming PC?
Ryzen 7 7700
The Ryzen 7 7700 is a decent mid-range processor from the Ryzen 7000 lineup. It features eight cores and 16 threads and a maximum boost clock of 5.4GHz. It is also very energy efficient as it has a TDP of 65W, and the 32MB L3 cache should help it lower the latency and increase performance by holding data on chip. So, when it comes to gaming and productivity, this CPU shouldn’t cause any issues or bottlenecks, as it is a very capable option.
RTX 4060
It isn’t mentioned which variant of the RTX 4060 is included in this gaming PC; however, the performance shouldn’t vary a lot between models, unless they’ve been overclocked. That being said, we’ll leverage the findings of the ASUS ROG Strix RTX 4060 OC that we reviewed to give you an idea of what this GPU can do.

During our testing, this GPU churned out 77 FPS at 1080p and 48 FPS at 1440p in Cyberpunk 2077. In less demanding titles like Rainbow Six Siege, we got 392 and 241 FPS. So, if the graphical fidelity of the title isn’t a lot, this GPU should be able to deliver excellent output at 1440p and possibly even 4K. However, since it is an entry-level offering, it is made for low-resolution gaming.
Other hardware
This gaming PC features 16GB DDR5 RAM, 1TB SSD, a 650W gold-rated PSU, WiFi, and a mouse and keyboard. So, for a budget gaming PC, these specifications are decent, and the gaming keyboard and mouse add even more value. The only aspect that we think could’ve been better is the 1TB SDD, as depending on the work, 1TB nowadays isn’t a lot.
Is this deal worth it?
We think that at this price point, this deal is definitely worth it, as you should be able to play plenty of games at 1440p with this PC, and even if some titles aren’t running well, DLSS 3 should save the day. On the other hand, the 7700 is a solid processor for productivity, and tasks like video editing and rendering should be a breeze with it.
