In comparison, Amazon’s Prime Day deals are scheduled to last between June 23 and June 26, though we tend to see many discounts spill over into the following days. We cannot say for sure whether the 9100 PRO will be part of those. Either way, from $799.99 to $459.99 is a massive price drop, and you really don’t have long to claim it. No wonder it’s currently a Top Seller.
Who should get this Samsung SSD?
The Samsung 9100 PRO is positioned as one of the best SSDs for gaming, so if you’re looking for a high-end option that provides both ample storage space and incredible performance, then this is a go-to option. It’s up there with the likes of the WD_BLACK SN8100 and Kingston FURY Renegade G5, both of which we’ve tested and reviewed.
Samsung’s speedy PRO model is a PCIe 5.0 M.2 internal drive that offers up to 14,800MB/s sequential read speeds and up to 13,400 MB/s sequential write speeds. Samsung says its 5nm controller “boosts power efficiency up to 49%” compared to the previous-gen 990 PRO, all the while promising that temps keep low. 4TB of storage is plenty enough for most gamers, too.
