AirPods Pro 3 hit low $179 price just weeks after adding new features

We are touching down to let folks know the Amazon fall Prime Day sale is getting a head start today – AirPods Pro 3 have now dropped down to one of the lowest prices to date at $179 shipped.

While the fall Prime Big Deal Days is roughly 48 hours away, Amazon is getting things started well ahead of time and is now offering Apple’s flagship AirPods Pro 3 down at $179 shipped.

The current-gen Pro carry a $249 list and while we have caught them down at $199 a few times this summer, they have now dropped even lower to deliver a seriously notable discount at $70 off.

Apple did very much just unleash its all-new AirPods 5 in two flavors: the base set with ANC at $129 and the upgraded set with the Wireless Charging Case. ANC on Apple’s just-released new set at $129 delivers some serious value if you ask me, but it will run you $149 if you want the model with the Wireless Charging Case and you can now score the even AirPods Pro 3 for just $30 more.

Pro 3 deliver 3x better active noise cancellation, longer battery life, far more advanced health features like the onboard heart rate sensing capabilities, the Hearing Aid features, and more.
You’ll certainly want to check out our recent showdown feature for more details – AirPods Pro 3 vs AirPods 5.

The base AirPods 5 at $129 are a solid buy, but the far more advanced AirPods Pro 3 at $179 is a seriously notable discount and one we have only tracked once previous to today.

The discount comes just a few weeks after Apple rolled out a bunch of new features to AirPods Pro 3 alongside iOS 27. The update included the long-requested Custom EQ features:

“AirPods are designed and engineered by Apple to faithfully represent music, TV shows and movies, and calls…If you prefer a different sound profile, you can customize how AirPods represent any audio played.”

Other new features include new ways to control Adaptive Audio, better Find My integration, and more.
