Lenny Kravitz Shows Up as a Villain in Unexpected 007: First Light Trailer Leak
A surprising face has just popped up in the world of James Bond. A leaked trailer for 007: First Light, the upcoming Bond origin game from IO Interactive, has slipped out earlier than planned. And, it reveals one of the villains of 007: First Light. Guess what? The character is played by Lenny Kravitz, something no one expected in the first place.
For IO Interactive, the timing of the leak might not be ideal. Multiple reports assumed Kravitz’s character reveal was planned for The Game Awards 2025, where 007: First Light is nominated for Most Anticipated Game. Now that the footage is out early, IO Interactive might have to highlight new scenes or extra story beats instead.
In the leaked footage, Lenny Kravitz shows up as Bawma, a figure who oversees the city of Aleph with absolute certainty. He remains seated velvet-backed armchair, offering a slow, unsettling monologue about hearing “every whisper” across the entire city. For him, Aleph isn’t just a place; it’s something he built with his “will, blood, and whole self.”
In the classic Bond fashion, Bawma reacts by tossing subtlety aside and ordering his men to drop Bond into a pit of hungry crocodiles. It’s dramatic, over-the-top, and unmistakably Bond, and Kravitz slips into that villain energy far more naturally than you might expect.
To catch you up, 007: First Light releases on March 27 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC. So, are you ready to see Kravitz go full supervillain?
