Key features of this MSI MAG 32-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor
QD-OLED display
First up, this is a QD-OLED monitor, which means its panel essentially combines Quantum Dot and OLED technology together, for picture quality with improved color and brightness, but something that also preserves OLED’s incredible contrast ratio. A good way of getting an idea of how good it is at this is by looking at its VESA DisplayHDR True Black certification. This is True Black HDR 400, which is a good sign, as it means it meets a minimum peak brightness of 400 nits, has over 95% DCI-P3 color coverage, and has near-zero nits blacks. All in all, you can expect very lifelike picture quality with this monitor.
32 inches and 4K
As much as I think 28-inch, 4K monitors are pretty epic for most setups, 32-inches is where it’s at if you’re after a more immersive gaming experience, and more versatility for content creation, or for use as a main screen for watching content on. At this size, you can sit a little further away from the screen, which basically means you can have a bigger desk, which is good if you’ve got something like a big gaming PC, large keyboard, and mouse, or simply like having more room to work with. It’s not ideal for competitive gaming, as its size could put you at a disadvantage in first-person shooters, but for immersive gaming with the versatility of being a flat screen, this is a great way to go.

240Hz and 0.03ms response time
This monitor’s refresh rate is high enough to handle 4K at 240fps, which gives you a lot of headroom for a wide range of 4K-ready graphics cards, and beyond. It’s even a pretty good, if not slightly overkill, option for the PS5, but I’d say something with a slightly lower 144Hz refresh rate may be preferable from a price perspective, if you’re only planning on using it with that console. Its response time is very low, especially for a 4K monitor, and will ensure that even when everything is going fast on-screen, you won’t run into much in the way of motion blur or ghosting.
OLED care
MSI is one of the best in the business when it comes to OLED protection, and offers a full suite of anti-burn-in solutions to help extend this monitor’s lifespan. You’ve got physical features like a huge graphite heatsink on the monitor itself, alongside advanced algorithms which can, in essence, detect hotspots and reduce heat dynamically.

Things to consider
For the price, this is an excellent monitor, and arguably one of the best you can buy right now, but I’d also check out some other options if you’re looking to spend this amount of cash first, before making your final choice. Personally, I’d say Samsung QD-OLED monitors are where it’s at for stunning, super sleek design, and are ideal for content creation/ gaming setups. ASUS ROG would be the top pick for many, especially if a more cyberpunk aesthetic is your thing. LG UltraGear has some very high-end options, usually with huge discounts, too, and Gigabyte would be my pick for outstanding value for money.
