Sony teases upcoming INZONE hardware and sets date for “new gear announcement” next week
Sony’s INZONE lineup is built for gamers who want high-quality monitors and audio gear. The brand focuses on delivering products designed for competitive play, including gaming headsets and displays. If you’ve been following INZONE products, there’s some good news, as Sony is getting ready to reveal something new very soon.
On X, the official INZONE account recently posted a teaser with the message “Discover a new way to play.” The post confirms that new gaming gear will be announced on April 14 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET. That means we’re less than a week away from finding out what Sony has been working on. While the company has not shared any official details yet, leaks have already given us a pretty good idea of what to expect.
Leaks suggest there’s a new INZONE headset on the way
According to reliable leaker Billbil-kun, Sony is preparing to launch a brand-new gaming headset called the INZONE H6 Air. This would be the first open-back headset in the INZONE lineup, which is a big change from the current models that all use closed-back designs. Open-back headphones are known for offering a more natural sound and wider soundstage, which could make them useful for gaming and office use. However, Open-back designs lack noise isolation, making them poor for outdoor use or in noisy environments.

The headset is expected to be wired and designed with comfort in mind. Based on the “Air” name, it will likely be lightweight, making it easier to wear during long gaming sessions. While full specifications are still unknown, the price is expected to be $199.99, placing it in the premium category but still below some high-end competitors. Also, far below the recently leaked ‘ColleXion’ – Sony’s next premium headphones, set to rival the Apple AirPods Max 2.
The release date is also expected to match the announcement, meaning it could go on sale immediately on April 14 without a pre-order phase. Alongside the new headset, Sony is also expected to introduce a new “Purple Glass” color option for its INZONE Buds. In any case, there are just a few days left until the official announcement, so we’ll get to know the full specifications soon.
