Amazon deal sends RTX 5060 laptop’s price crashing under $1,100 for new record-low
There have been a number of excellent 50-series gaming laptop deals lately on Amazon, and while you may be tempted by some of the more high-end models, such as the 5080s or 5090s, you’ll find the best bang for your buck with the current RTX 5060 offerings in our view. Right now, this Gigabyte RTX 5060 laptop is at its best price ever, and is now down to under $1,100 with a 12% discount.
This laptop brings a lot to the table and is a good choice for 1080p gaming at high fps. and a solid alternative to some of the more expensive 50-series options, where you’ll be paying a premium for higher resolution screens, punchier CPUs, and more. As far as value for money goes, we think this deal is a real winner.

What we like about Gigabyte Gaming A16 gaming laptop
First off, the RTX 5060 is a great mobile GPU if you’re looking for an affordable option in the 50-series lineup. Similar to the 5060 desktop version, this mobile GPU is going to be good for 1080p gaming at high fps, but not quite as good when you turn up the settings. DLSS comes in very handy here, and makes this card a more appealing entry-level option in our eyes.
The CPU is an Intel i7-13620H, which is good processor for this setup. It leans more towards gaming performance than a heavy-duty multitasking, and for 1080p gaming it will be more than enough, as it will for some more demanding single core tasks.

In terms its SSD size, it’s scaled back a bit, but not to the point it’ll bother anyone looking for something to play a few games on rotation. Similarly with its RAM, it doesn’t go too overkill, opting for 16GB of DDR5 with 5200 MHz speeds. That’s on the slightly lower-end when it comes to RAM speeds, but again, nothing you’d notice really.
Its screen is pretty impressive, and packs a 165Hz refresh rate for high fps gaming. It’s also LCD, which is more of an entry level type of screen. The good news is that LCD screens are often very bright, even though they may lack some of the picture quality of mini-LED or QD-OLED displays.
- GPU specs: 3328 CUDA cores, 104 TMUs, 48 ROPs, 8GB GDDR7, and 128-bit bus width.
- CPU specs: 10 cores, 16 threads, 45W TDP, 4.9 Ghz boost clock, and 24MB L3 Cache
- Entry-level storage: A 1TB SSD is more than enough for casual usage and can realistically hold 7 AAA games alongside other files.
- Good amount of RAM: 16GB of DDR5 RAM is also more than adequate for gaming and overall system responsiveness.
- High refresh rate display: 165Hz at 1080p is ideal for this type of laptop, and will be great for first person shooters and other fast-paced games.
- Minimal design: Tasteful lighting with a stealthy aesthetic give this laptop a broad appeal, making it good for both work and casual environments.
Who’s this deal for?
This deal would be great for someone who wants to dip their toe into the world of gaming laptops, but would prefer a more recent model at a slightly higher price than going for a 40-series alternative for less. It would be best suited to those who aren’t too fussed about gaming at max settings, but rather prefer going for frames instead. Compettive gamers would like this model a lot, and it’s great value at this price point.
As you can see from the graph above, camelcamelcamel hasn’t registed the price drop yet, but it looks like this is the first time it’s dropped in its Amazon pricing history, making it a great time to buy.
