- Deploy a secure, compliant mobile solution to 1,000 employees in just two weeks
- Improve security with AI threat detection, Managed Google Play and more
- Empower employees with 24/7 connectivity using devices with longer-lasting batteries
- Project 30% cost savings over the next 10 years
As a regulated financial institution, maintaining strong security and compliance standards is a top priority for B3. So it’s a tall order to provide our employees with mobile devices that enable constant availability and productivity while meeting extremely strict regulatory requirements.
We selected Android Enterprise for its multi-layered security, including hardware cryptography, app sandboxing and AI threat detection. Android and Samsung also offer a budget-friendly price point without compromising performance, ensuring a consistent experience for everyone from frontline staff to executives. This choice followed extensive testing of both ecosystems across all benchmarks.
Enabling fast, secure, self-serve deployment
Previously, device rollouts required significant coordination and in-person support, which extended deployment timelines and created operational complexity. By partnering with Samsung as the device provider and using Android Enterprise zero-touch enrollment, we were able to equip most of our workforce — including our fully managed mobile fleet and bring-your-own-device (BYOD) employees — in less than two weeks.
Once a device is turned on, our IT team can manage it through a centralized dashboard and control policies for all devices to ensure security. And with Managed Google Play, we can control where and how apps are distributed — another tool for maintaining safety and security.
Securely equipping a workforce
Our operations teams need to be available 24/7, and battery duration used to be a major pain point. Additionally, our employees struggled to read messages on small, 5-inch screens.
When we switched to Android, we provided our workforce with lightweight devices featuring 7-inch screens, superior refresh rates and longer-lasting batteries. Employee feedback has been highly positive, as the new devices comfortably support a wide range of business applications. This keeps our mostly office-based team securely connected through various internal and third-party web apps.
Embracing AI and cutting costs
At B3, we are actively expanding our use of AI to boost management productivity, shifting from an experimental phase to a more “agentic” approach. Our employees love the built-in Google Gemini on Android AI features. These capabilities support content creation, information access, task optimization, and more, contributing to a more agile and responsive work environment.
Financially, this shift is also incredibly beneficial. Over the next decade, we’ve projected cost savings of around 30% by choosing Android. These savings will enable us to comfortably perform more refresh cycles over this timeframe, keeping our employees equipped with brand-new hardware.
B3 is a tech-focused company, constantly experimenting with new innovations, ranging from AI agents to super low-latency data centers. With Android devices and the exceptional support we’ve received from Google and Samsung, we can easily maintain compliance and ensure our workforce has the secure, cutting-edge tools they need to drive our business forward.
