Why we liked the SanDisk 8TB portable SSD
This portable SSD is very light and doesn’t take up a lot of space and you can keep in your pants pocket and won’t feel like you’re carrying a brick as it only weighs 0.11 pounds or 0.04 kgs. It has a read and write speed of up to 1050 and 1000 MB/s, respectively. This should ensure fast data transfer to and from the SSD but what really stood out was the IP65 rating.
It is dust and water resistant but these rating have a limit and we don’t recommend going for a plunge with this SSD. Your data should also be safe as it comes with a 256-bit AES encryption. That being said, 8TB of storage means you can keep a world of information with you such as game files, project information, personal data, or anything else and still have plenty of space left.
Prime Day may have closed its doors, but that hasn’t stopped great deals from landing on the web’s biggest online retailer. Here are all the best last chance savings from this year’s Prime event.

Is this a good deal?
This is an excellent deal because 8TB is the extreme end when it comes to storage devices and it also comes with some nifty specifications. You can take it with you on the go due to its size and weight but also won’t have to worry about it getting damaged by the elements as it has an IP65 rating. The 256-bit AES encryption is also a great addition and for anyone who has to travel a lot for work and doesn’t want to upgrade the storage of their laptop, this portable SSD is a great option to consider.
