Capcom’s PlayStation Store Fumble Confirms Leon’s Return in Resident Evil Requiem
It’s been quite a while since Capcom had Resident Evil fans guessing about Leon Kennedy’s role in “Requiem.” Well, if you are among the ones, there’s some good news for you. As reported by IGN, PlayStation Store slip-up by Capcom has leaked what everyone has been waiting for.
As spotted many players, a new piece of artwork in the PlayStation Store shows a grizzled, bearded Leon standing right behind the game’s protagonist, Grace Ashcroft. Take a look at gthe featured image of this article, there he is.
Rumors also suggest that Leon will be playable after Grace. However, it is not clear how much screen time he will get. But you can expect something similar to Chris Redfield in Resident Evil Village, where a secondary protagonist was playable in specific sequences but didn’t take the center stage.
Ever since the game was announced, fans have waited eagerly. And with Leon now officially confirmed, the speculation can finally res… at least until Capcom decides to slip in some other information through the cracks.
As you know, The Game Awards 2025 kicks off tomorrow, and there you will get another look at Resident Evil Requiem. Don’t be surprised if Capcom officially reveals Leon’s role at the event. For the unitiated, Resident Evil Requiem will launch on February 27, 2026 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
