Cooler Master Has Two New MasterFan Fans For You To Consider
The MasterFan A120 And MasterFan A140
CoolerMaster has released two brand new fans that have aluminium frames and liquid crystal polymer blades. The new MasterFan models are available with or without aRGB so you can choose if you want a cool light show or just cooling. They are sturdily built and a bit heavier than fans with plastic frames, and can spin up to 2500 RPM which provides 6.1 mmH2O of static pressure. TweakTown saw better airflow from these MasterFan models running at low speeds than from many silent fans running full out. At half speed they move more air than just about any competitors offerings at full speed.
That does hint at what might turn some people off of picking up a new MasterFan or two, they are designed for performance and not for silent operation. The noise isn’t from vibrations it is from the airflow. If you are old enough to remember 40mm fans, TT says that a MasterFan A series running at full speed bring back memories of the the 90s and 00s.
