God of War Laufey pre orders go live with two editions, here’s what bonuses you get if you buy it early

Sony has shared more details about God of War Laufey ahead of its release next year, including information about the game’s editions and bonuses. The upcoming title is scheduled to launch exclusively for the PlayStation 5 on February 16, 2027. Pre-orders officially go live on September 29 at 10:00 AM local time, giving players several months to secure their copy before launch. Sony has detailed two editions of the game, along with several bonuses for those who pre-order early.

God of War Laufey editions and pre order bonuses

According to Sony, anyone who pre-orders God of War Laufey will receive the Last Wish Armor Set, a Phranque Golden Leaves Appearance, and an in-game resource pack. The Phranque item is purely cosmetic, while the armor and resources will give players some additional items to use in the game.

Players looking for additional content can instead pick up the God of War Laufey Digital Deluxe Edition. This version comes with the Dark Alchemy Armor Set, Dark Alchemy Blade, Dark Alchemy Bow Scales, and Dark Alchemy Catalyst. The Digital Deluxe Edition also includes another in-game resource pack. Outside the game itself, buyers will receive a digital mini artbook and the official God of War Laufey digital soundtrack.

Alongside revealing the editions, Sony has provided a closer look at Faye’s combat and her new Serpent Bow. The enchanted weapon can change its form quickly, allowing Faye to mix bow attacks with her other weapons and abilities during combat.

The bow offers two different aiming styles. Fully pressing the aim trigger activates a more precise mode with greater draw distance, while targeting certain areas of an enemy’s body can limit their movement or attacks. Faye can also charge and stack up to five arrows before releasing them together in a powerful volley.

A half-press of the trigger, on the other hand, activates a more mobile hip-fire stance. This allows Faye to quickly fire clusters of arrows at enemies at close range and use the bow to extend combos.

Players will also have access to different arrow types, including options designed around rapid fire, explosions, and hitting multiple targets. The Serpent Bow can be further customized using Scales, which change its appearance while providing perks suited to different playstyles.
