Handheld gamers have been waiting for the Lenovo Legion Go 2 ever since the company first revealed it at CES 2025. At the time, it was only shown as a prototype, which left players curious about what the final version would actually look like. Lenovo did share some early specifications, but they never confirmed if those would make it into the finished product.

After CES, the company stayed completely silent, which has only made the hype grow stronger. However, we might finally get to hear an announcement soon after learning of Lenovo Innovation World happening this September.

Legion Go 2 reveal in a couple of weeks?

Lenovo has not shared any details about the release date or what confirmed upgrades the Legion Go 2 will bring. However, back in June, there was an interesting interaction on the Lenovo Latin America Facebook page. A fan asked about when the handheld would be available in Mexico, and a Lenovo representative hinted at a possible September release.

Since that Facebook reply, Lenovo has not made any official statements about the device. However, what many don’t know is that Lenovo is preparing to host the Innovation World event, which will take place in Berlin, Germany, on September 5, 2025. This event is where Lenovo usually introduces new products, and the time matches perfectly with the earlier hint from the Lenovo representative. Last year, the company revealed new Yoga and IdeaPad models during the event, along with other devices. And this year, we hope to see them announce the Lenovo Legion Go 2.

And these match up with recent engineering samples that have leaked online; one has already been compared to the MSI Claw A8 in hands-on benchmarks.
