Megabonk was released a few weeks back, on September 18, and it has quickly managed to become a popular game on Steam. In a short period, it has received over 8,000 reviews on the platform, and 94% of them are ‘Very Positive’. And Steam Deck users seem to be enjoying the game a lot, as it has jumped pretty high on the Top Played charts.

The Steam Deck Top Played charts are designed to help users see which games are trending these days. And if you check right now, you’ll find Megabonk sitting comfortably in the third spot, which is very impressive. The game has climbed seven positions in the chart to achieve this spot, and it is currently sitting above titles like Hollow Knight, Stardew Valley, Hades, and Baldur’s Gate 3. The only two games above it are Hades II and Hollow Knight: Silksong.
For those who haven’t played it yet, Megabonk is a roguelike survival game where you have to fight your way through waves of enemies and bosses. The maps are randomly generated, and you have to look for items during the match. As you make progress, you can level up your character, upgrade your weapons, and survive for as long as you can.
At the moment, there are 20 unique characters for players to choose from, each offering a different set of abilities. On top of that, there are over 70 unique items for you to use. The game also offers 240 in-game quests, so there’s plenty to keep you busy. And considering how well the game has been performing, we can expect the developers to add more content soon.
