It was only a week ago when Nintendo announced a new Switch 2 bundle for U.S. customers, giving them the chance to bundle the console with a choice of three first-party titles. Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, or Pokémon Pokopia are up for grabs as part of the promotion, priced at $499.99. Nintendo said it would arrive in early June – but it’s already here.

It’s a solid deal when you consider the fact that Switch 2 prices will be raised in the United States on September 1. The Nintendo Switch 2 console will cost $499.99 in a few months, so purchase a ‘Choose your Game’ bundle before then, and you’re essentially getting a free Nintendo game, comparatively. Several U.S retailers, including the Nintendo store, are now selling this bundle.

Nintendo Switch 2 Choose Your Game Bundle is now available to purchase

Despite Nintendo saying this bundle would land in early June, customers can already pick one up. Estimated shipping dates show as soon as May 22 at Best Buy (at the time of writing), or May 25 for in-store pickup. Amazon lists a May 25 delivery date, though it’s important to keep in mind that this may vary depending on your location.

Retailer listings may be confusing at first glance, especially since places like Amazon still advertise a separate Switch 2 and Mario Kart World bundle that will cost you $528.99, or a little less for Donkey Kong Bananza. You’d be wasting money if you picked up one of these; Amazon also bundles the Switch 2 with titles not included in the Choose Your Game, such as Mario Galaxy 1&2.

How does the bundle work?

Choose Your Game bundles ship with a unique ‘Choose One’ download code with the system. Once you redeem the code on the Nintendo eShop, either directly on the console or remotely on a web browser, you will be given the choice of the three games. As such, you do not select the game at the time of purchase – do it after you receive your Nintendo Switch 2.

Donkey Kong Bananza and Pokémon Pokopia are usually worth $69.99, while Mario Kart World goes for $79.99 at full price. For the best savings, MK World is the obvious winner, but it really comes down to personal preference at the end of the day.
