Best-Rated Anti-Phishing: 96% Detection in Independent Testing

In the latest 2026 AV-Comparatives Anti-Phishing Test, NordVPN’s next-gen antivirus achieved a massive 96% detection rate with zero false positives. As the first VPN provider to ever receive their protection badge, we continue to set the benchmark for stopping phishing attacks before they happen.

AV-Comparatives, a leading independent organisation in cybersecurity evaluation, has released its 2026 Anti-Phishing Comparative Test results. The test, which took place between 11th and 22nd May 2026, assessed the phishing detection capabilities of the most recent product version of NordVPN’s next-gen antivirus available at time of testing.

The feature achieved a 96% phishing detection rate with zero false positives in independent testing. Since the last test of this sort in May of 2025, NordVPN’s detection has improved by 6%. The evaluation covered 275 active phishing URLs targeting personal data across platforms like PayPal, online banking, email, and social networks, with an additional 200 legitimate banking URLs used to validate the false positive results.

Ultimate Remote Access: New Dedicated Private VPN Servers Launch

NordVPN has officially launched dedicated private VPN servers for users who need total control. Featuring dedicated hardware, a static IP address, and port forwarding, this new solution allows for secure, seamless access to home networks and personal devices from anywhere in the world.

“Most people use a VPN to stay more private online, and it works well for that. But some users need their VPN to have broader scope. They want to secure their gaming server’s IP address, access their home network from across the world, and keep their real IP off the public internet. A dedicated server gives them the resources to do that.”
