What we liked about this power supply unit

This power supply unit is certainly one of the best we’ve seen for gaming PCs because it should be able to handle any build imaginable. The most powerful GPU on the market is the RTX 5090, which has a 575W TDP, and even if we assume it is overclocked and can consume up to 650W, it still won’t affect this PSU.

This GPU paired with the Core Ultra 9 285K should pull around 900W, as this processor has a 250W TDP. This should still leave you with 600W of overhead, which is more than enough for the rest of the components. That being said, it comes with the 12V-2×6 cable, which can deliver up to 600W with a single cable, perfect for high-end builds.

The Cybenetics Platinum efficiency means that it should be 89% to 91% efficient, which is amazing. This should help save up on the electricity bills, as most of the power should be utilized instead of being wasted as heat and during transport. With the iCUE software, you should be able to tune the fan curve and other aspects, giving you control over this PSU.

Is this deal worth it?

This is a premium power supply unit, and you’ll get the quality and performance you’d expect from such an offering. However, that also means that it is expensive even with the 10% price cut. So, the question is, do you have the components that would warrant this PSU, and do you plan on overclocking them? If not, you can go for a lower capacity PSU, and even if you have the RTX 5090, you can make do with a 1000W or 1200W PSU, which should cost less.
