If you were hoping that the ROG Xbox Ally handhelds would land in budget territory, you might want to think again. First spotted by Notebookcheck, the Asus Store by MacMan has accidentally revealed what could be the prices for the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X.
Typing “Xbox Ally” into the site shows both models listed, with the standard unit priced at €599 and the more powerful Ally X at €899. That puts the base version at roughly $699 in the US and the Ally X closer to $1,050, though pricing will vary by region.

Earlier rumors hinted at lower numbers
The leaked listings contrast with previous claims by leaker eXtas1s, who suggested the regular Ally with AMD’s Z2 A chip would start around $499, and the Ally X with a Ryzen Z2 Extreme would begin at $799. Those figures looked more competitive, especially against devices like the Steam Deck and MSI Claw.
If the Spanish store is accurate, the final price could land much higher, possibly $100 above what was expected. As the news outlet points out, these handhelds seem firmly aimed at the premium PC gaming crowd.
Launch coming soon
The Xbox Ally and Ally X are rumored to be released in October, with pre-orders potentially starting in August. Both are expected to ship with upgraded internals, including the latest AMD chips and Microsoft’s new Xbox Experience app.
For now, nothing is confirmed, but if these prices hold, Microsoft’s handheld push could land in the same high-end space as its competitors, and leave budget-focused gamers looking elsewhere.
