This is the type of PC that’s designed more as a gaming-first machine, and is ideal for those looking for super smooth performance at high framerates, with low latency, but without having to pay a premium for a Ryzen 7 9800X3D prebuild. RTX 5070 gaming PCs tend to hover between $1,700 and can even go beyond $2,200 in some cases, so this is bang in the middle. In my opinion, an RTX 5070 prebuild at this price makes the most sense, as it’s still significantly more affordable than an RTX 5070 Ti, X3D PC, which tend to start at around $2,300.

RTX 5070 graphics card for brilliant 1440p performance

The RTX 5070 is one of the best graphics cards you can go for if you’re looking for something in the mid-range from the 50-series. What you’re getting here is 12GB of GDDR7 memory, which makes it much better at handling 1440p than the RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti 8GB options, and targets ultra settings at high framerates. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is still one of the best CPUs for gaming, and a very good option to go for if you’re looking to keep costs relatively lower, but still get top-tier gaming performance. What makes this special is its unique 3D V-cache architecture, which is designed to store a massive amount of data for quick access. The 7 7800X3D comes in with a 96MB L3 cache, which is basically triple the size of your standard gaming CPUs, like the Ryzen 7 9700X, for instance. 32GB of DDR5 for reduced microstuttering and better multitasking performance

While 16GB of DDR5 is fine for most people, it can get a little tight if you’re playing more demanding AAA titles, resulting in a more janky, stuttering gaming experience. With 32GB, everything is much more fluid and smooth, so you can, say, spin the camera very fast in a game like Cyberpunk 2077, and you shouldn’t run into much in the way of microstutters. Things to consider

It’s always worth shopping around to see if you can grab something similar with the slightly more powerful Ryzen 7 9800X3D, in my opinion. I’ve taken a look at Newegg, and I’d say that this Andromeda Insights V3 Advanced 50 gaming PC would absolutely be a brilliant alternative to this PC, even from a design perspective, if you’re looking for even better gaming performance. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D has a 5.2GHz boost clock speed and improved thermal performance thanks to its 2nd Gen 3D V-cache technology, and it’s also not a bad shout for content creation and multitasking.
