Samsung Galaxy M47 goes official with SD 6 Gen 3 and 6,000mAh battery


As expected, Samsung launched its Galaxy M47 in India today. The latest M-series member brings some familiar looks and specs to the Galaxy A27, but it also features some upgrades.

The main one is the larger 6,000mAh battery, which supports up to 45W wired charging. It also features bypass charging, allowing the device to sip power directly from the charger when plugged in. This is highly useful for gamers and helps keep the device cooler.

Elsewhere, the M47 is quite similar to the A27. It features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection and has a 12MP front-facing camera inside the punch hole cutout.

We have a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip under the hood, which is paired with 6/8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The back features a triple camera setup with a 50MP main shooter, a 5MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro cam.

The software side is covered by One UI 8.5 based on Android 16. Samsung is pledging 6 years of Android OS upgrades and the same amount of security updates.

Samsung Galaxy M47 comes in Rogue Red and Blaze Blue colors. The 6/128GB trim will start at INR 22,999 ($243/€214 converted) and open sales are scheduled to begin on July 4 via Amazon India.
