What we like about this ABS Flux II Aqua RTX 5070 gaming PC
Excellent all-rounder processor that’s cost-effective, too
You’ve got the Intel Core i7-14700F in this build, which is a quality pick if you’re looking for something with a higher core count than your typical Ryzen 7 alternative, that’s going to be well-suited for both high fps gaming with low latency, demanding workflows, and heavier multitasking.
What’s more, since it’s a 14th-gen CPU, it’s generally more affordable than something like a Core Ultra 7 265K, too.
A relatively affordable GPU for 1440p with the latest Blackwell features
If you want to keep costs well under $2,000, then the RTX 5070 is a great shout that’s going to give you the latest GDDR7 VRAM, 4th-gen ray tracing cores, 5th-gen tensor cores, and exclusive MFG upscaling without completely breaking the bank.
With 12GB of VRAM, it’s good for 1440p gaming at max settings, and is a good middle-ground option for creatives, handling tasks like video editing very well, and with features like Nvidia Broadcast and 9th-gen Nvidia Encoders, it’s a smart pick for content creators looking for something cost-effective that still packs a punch.
Very high-speed RAM and lots of it
Not every RTX 5070 build features 32GB of DDR5, so this is a big win here, especially as this PC is designed for more than just gaming. With 32GB, your games will play much more smoothly with less microstuttering, and workflows, like working on large files in creative applications like Photoshop or Premiere Pro, will be far snappier and more responsive. It’s also a win for streaming, too.
Smaller storage is a smart pick from a pricing perspective
This PC has a 1TB SSD, which gives you ample storage for games and other files, like 4K footage, for instance. The other win here, though, is that you’re not paying extra right off the bat for more storage you may not need. This allows you to upgrade when you need to, and put your money towards features that improve performance more directly.
Visually striking PC case
ABS does some great PC cases, and this one delivers the goods when it comes to aesthetics, featuring tempered glass panels that give you a full view into its inner aRGB workings. It gives the PC a much more premium look, similar to some very high-end offerings, like an Xidax prebuild, for instance, without the premium price tag.
Is this gaming PC good value for money?
From my experience finding PC deals, I can say that this is a good price for a PC of this calibre. It’s bang in the middle of RTX 5070 prebuild pricing, which is usually from $1,500 to $2,000, with the upper-end typically being occupied by Alienware options or PCs with high-end Intel Core Ultra CPUs, like the 7 270K Plus.
I’d say that given the fact it has 32GB of DDR5, a premium PC case that’s also on the smaller side, and a high-core-count Intel processor that’s well-regarded for its workstation capabilities, it’s a deal well worth going for.
Things to consider
I’d recommend looking at ABS RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, Intel i7-14700F prebuilds, if you’re looking for something with more VRAM at a similar price. These would be good if you’re working with more demanding creative projects, like 3D modeling or complex video editing.
One PC that always stands out to me is this ABS Flux II Aqua gaming PC, which is currently $1,499.99 at Newegg.
