Microsoft has finally pushed out a new Beta Channel update after a nearly two-week gap. Windows 11 Build 22631.5696 (KB5062663) is now available for download through Windows Update, and this time, there’s no gradual rollout. Everyone gets it at once.
This update doesn’t add any flashy new features, but it brings a solid list of fixes across various parts of the operating system. Microsoft calls it a “normal rollout,” likely because it skips the usual phased distribution to fix bugs and improving stability.
Some of the key areas addressed in this build include mobile operator settings, file system issues, and printer identification. Microsoft has updated the Country and Operator Settings Asset to reflect new profiles for certain carriers.
On the file system side, a memory exhaustion bug affecting ReFS when backing up large files has been fixed. There’s also a correction for errors like “No More Files” that sometimes appeared when searching for PDFs in shared folders, which previously disrupted both printing and backups.
Networking issues have been cleaned up too, specifically a delay in peripheral devices coming online after resuming from hibernation on systems with active cellular connections.
Printer names now show up more clearly when using IPP Directed Discovery, helping users find the right printer during setup. Perhaps most critically, a stability issue that caused some devices to freeze after the May 2025 update has been resolved.
