Witcher 3 Remastered Or Witcher 3 Songs of the Past Or WAR?

If you are a fan of Geralt then there are two new projects you are probably keeping an eye out for.  The thing is you will probably have to choose one.  The Witcher 3 Remastered has just launched and CD Projekt Red is busy patching the game breaking bugs that come along with the release.  One of the biggest impacts is that The Witcher 3 Remastered is completely incompatible with the the WAR Project, a work in progress by a team of modders trying to bring back a plague-themed questline which was dropped from the game.  The assets are still there though and it is slowly being restored, as long as you don’t update to the remaster.

Then there is the new Witcher 3 Songs of the Past, which will bring more depth to the relationship between Geralt and Dandelion, and possibly some other characters in the main Witcher 3 that Geralt seems to know a lot more about than the player.  So far CD Projekt Red is being very cagey about what you will find in Songs of the Past but are hinting that it is influenced by the feel of Blood and Wine.  It will be interesting to see how well it plays with the remaster when it is released.

Fans of The Witcher 3 have quite a bit to look forward to, but it seems that for now you may need to pick and choose what you want to try.
