With the MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ release date around the corner, pre-orders have now gone live for the Intel Arc G3 Extreme-powered handheld. In fact, we’ve already seen them sell out, so there’s no time to waste if you want to grab one in time for launch in the coming days. The EX model arrives as the very first gaming handheld powered by Intel’s brand-new G3 chip.

MSI announced the device during Computex in early June and has not wasted much time getting it ready to ship. Another G3-powered handheld announced during the event was the Acer Predator Atlas 8, but that’s not coming until October.

MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ US retailers
The next-gen handheld was recently listed on the official MSI US store for $1,799.00, but is now out of stock. Alternative retailers (such as B&H) have been listing pre-orders at $100 cheaper. Many of these pre-orders have been fully booked, so you may see a ‘Notify Me’ prompt in the meantime. Be sure to keep checking back if you’re trying to secure one.

We’re yet to see pre-orders arrive in the UK, but here are a few retailers we’d recommend keeping an eye on. At the time of writing, it still hasn’t surfaced on the official store, either.

Like the UK, the new EX model hasn’t yet appeared on MSI’s official Canada storefront. However, we have spotted it on Amazon and on Best Buy for $2,049.99 CAD. We expect even more listings to be made available very soon.
Are MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ pre orders available?
Pre-orders for the Claw 8 EX AI+ started showing up on June 15, but right now, many have reverted to ‘out of stock’. In the meantime, most retailers let you sign up for notifications when they make a return. We cannot say if pre-orders will be restocked in time for the June 23 launch – we’ll have to wait and see.
Early listings for the Intel-powered handheld first surfaced online even before its official announcement. We’re not far away from the official launch date, so if you have missed out on early pre-orders, there’s really not long to wait. However, given the availability so far, consumers may be stuck waiting around for stock to show up.
How much does the MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ cost?
Since there is only one variant of the Claw 8 EX AI+ being listed online, there isn’t much comparison to do. Pricing below refers to the lowest price we’ve the Intel Arc G3 Extreme, 32GB, 1TB model in the US, UK, and Canada. There has been no sign of an Arc G3 non-Extreme model, nor different memory/storage variants so far, though ‘Launch Packs’ have previously been mentioned.
