At Google, we believe that understanding and supporting young people as they navigate the digital world is paramount.

That’s why we have partnered with Livity to deliver The Future Report, an in-depth research project sharing insights from over 6,000 teenagers across the UK on their digital lives.

The report reveals a generation thinking critically and enthusiastically about new technologies, with 74% of UK teens using AI multiple times a week for either learning or creativity, and 76% regularly considering the trustworthiness of information.

It also serves as a practical guide for us and others looking to support teens’ digital journeys, highlighting the importance of ensuring age-appropriate safer online experiences, feature-level product safeguards, responsible AI and AI literacy.
