It was back at CES 2026 in early January when Intel first unveiled its plan to bring Panther Lake processors to gaming handhelds. Nothing official has happened since then, though a leak last week did suggest these handhelds will finally debut at Computex, powered by Intel Arc G3 and G3 Extreme chips. And now, an MSI Claw powered by the G3 Extreme has surfaced online.

Prior to any official announcements, Italian retailer Ollo store has listed a new MSI Claw model. It’s known as the MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ and comes with an 8-inch 1080p screen, 120Hz refresh rate, and an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor. The listing also reveals 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, at least in this specific configuration.

New Panther Lake MSI Claw listed at an online retailer

It looks like leaks surrounding new Panther Lake handhelds are coming to fruition now that this has appeared online. No photography or renders of the new MSI Claw are viewable; however, we do have a price tag to latch onto. The MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ is listed for a whopping €1599. For comparison, the MSI Claw 8 AI+ is listed on Ollo store for €1299.

Further specifications for the EX AI+ include a 500-nit IPS-level panel and 80Whr battery capacity. Both of these match the specs already found in the existing MSI Claw 8 AI+, so it appears that the processor upgrade is the main difference so far.

Panther Lake (Intel Core Ultra Series 3) is Intel’s latest mobile processor family, currently being used in a range of laptops. Generally, these laptops are aimed at productivity, but Panther Lake has proven to be viable for gaming thanks to XeSS 3 support with Multi Frame Generation. In total, Intel plans to have Panther Lake power “more than 200 designs” – including handhelds.
