Battlefield 6, Pretty And Probably Not Always $80

Get Your Launch Trailer, If You Haven’t Already

EA and Battlefield have disappointed many an old fan of the series, and so far a lot of the leaks about Battlefield 6 are not encouraging.  The bizarre goal to reach an unprecedented 100 million active players still remains, and it will be interesting to see what they reveal about multiplayer tomorrow.   The trailer we’ve got now, which you can watch again at Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN, is for the single player campaign though it’s pretty obvious it’s not in game footage.  It’s good to know that even though the rumours are that the single player campaign is far behind schedule, it is not in danger of being dropped.

The trailer does look beautiful and it could be that EA have finally caught up or surpassed the visuals of the competition, but a pretty face is not going to be enough to have disappointed Battlefield veterans back to the series.  As of now we have no release date nor a set price for the game.  Apparently it is not always going to cost $80, but EA is keeping that window open with possible Premium and Deluxe versions.  One can hope there is no free-to-play model EA plans to leech onto the game.

Stay strong, don’t encourage them by pre-ordering!
